Job Title: Buyer
Location: Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days work from home
Schedule: Full-time, Temp-to-Hire
Pay Rate: $30–$35 per hour

Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to join a leading medical device company. This role is responsible for purchasing goods and services, managing supplier relationships, and maintaining optimal inventory levels to support smooth and cost-effective operations. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, evaluate, and procure materials that meet company quality standards and delivery timelines.

  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating favorable pricing, terms, and contracts.

  • Monitor inventory levels, initiate reorders, and prevent shortages or excess stock.

  • Conduct market research to stay informed on trends, pricing, and product availability.

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of purchasing or procurement experience, preferably in a manufacturing or medical device environment.

  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and purchase order systems; NetSuite experience preferred.

  • APICS or Six Sigma certification is a plus.

Competencies:

  • Highly detail-oriented and organized.

  • Dependable, professional, and proactive.

  • Strong communication and time management skills.

  • Able to work effectively both independently and in a team setting.
