Position Title: Revit CAD Designer

Location: Duffield, VA 24244

DH Salary: $55-85K + Full Benefits Package

Overview: Our client the is looking for an Electrical CAD Designer for a position located in Duffield, VA. For over 50 years, our client has been providing quality-engineered building solutions designed to protect critical equipment.   • Responsible for the design, development, alteration, or modification of shelter drawings and electrical systems as assigned.
  • Prepares a wide variety of detailed drawings for the shelter and electrical design and is responsible for their accuracy.
  • Breaks down information obtained from the bid letter, customer specification, and customer supplied drawings to do shelter design.
  • Makes a variety of calculations (AC service, HVAC, energy, and structural, etc.) following standard procedures.
  • Prepare work orders (detailed BOM) while drawings are in progress.
  • Works on projects of limited complexity and assists other designers as needed.
  • Renders technical assistance to factory personnel, sales staff or customers as needed.
  • Possible travel as needed (10% annually).

 

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate degree preferred
  • Level 1 Experience: 0-2 years on the job Electrical Engineering/Designing experience.
  • Level 2 Experience: 2-4 years on the job Electrical Engineering/Designing experience.
  • Level 3 Experience: Experience: 4-7 years on the job Electrical Engineering/Designing experience.
  • Certificates, Licenses or Registrations: AutoCAD or Revit
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer programs: Windows, Word, Excel, the latest release of AutoCAD, the latest release of Revit.
  • Knowledge of algebra and geometry and mathematical formulas.
  • Technical ability in the Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical fields.
