Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking an experienced Lab Tech for contract-to-hire position with one of our partners in the St. Louis, MO area. Position Overview:
This role provides high-quality service and support to internal production areas, specifically in the Pack/Ship (physical testing) and Chemical (rolling lubricant testing) labs. Responsibilities include operating lab equipment, ensuring testing accuracy, maintaining safety and quality standards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct physical and chemical testing in accordance with procedures and quality standards
- Operate lab instruments safely and accurately
- Maintain compliance with Laboratory Quality Systems
- Troubleshoot testing issues and perform minor equipment maintenance
- Report accurate data to relevant departments
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Operations, and Sales for timely results
- Plan and prioritize daily tasks, seeking support when needed
- Promote teamwork and adhere to safety protocols
Requirements:
- Preferred: 2–4-year degree in Chemistry or Metallurgy
- Required: A.S. in Science, Business, or Technical field, or equivalent lab/industry experience
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues
- Effective communicator with logical problem-solving abilities
Additional Info:
- Pay Rate: $25/hour
- Temporary with potential for permanent hire
- Rotating schedule: Mon–Fri, 7am–3pm (4 weeks), then 3pm–11pm (4 weeks)
- Some Saturday overtime required
