Pay:
Chemist 2: $27.50/hour
Chemist 3: $34/hour

Schedule: M-F 9am-5:30pm

Overview

Client is an industry-leading international analytical laboratory committed to global food health and safety through cutting-edge analytical testing services. We are seeking to fill both Chemist 2 and Chemist 3 roles in our Liquid Chromatography (LC) and Gas Chromatography (GC) laboratories. In these roles, you will be responsible for performing accurate and timely sample analysis, troubleshooting instrumentation, and contributing to research and development initiatives.

Responsibilities:
For Chemist 2:

  • Perform sample analysis using LC and GC instrumentation, including MS, MS/MS, and HR-MS/MS detectors, following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Utilize software such as Sciex OS, Multiquant, or Analyst for data acquisition and analysis.
  • Maintain quality control data and assist with routine troubleshooting of lab instruments.
  • Ensure ISO17025 compliance in routine lab operations and participate in data review processes.
For Chemist 3:
  • Lead sample analysis using advanced instrumentation (MS, MS/MS, HR-MS/MS) and optimize analytical methods for complex samples.
  • Oversee data acquisition, interpretation, and reporting, ensuring high accuracy and quality.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues with lab equipment and lead repairs in coordination with vendors.
  • Develop new extraction methods and analytical techniques, leading R&D projects and FDA studies.
  • Mentor junior chemists, oversee compliance with ISO17025 standards, and ensure data quality.
Qualifications:
For Chemist 2:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience with LC instruments, including MS or MS/MS detectors.
  • Familiarity with analytical software (Sciex OS, Multiquant, or Analyst).
  • Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in instrument operation.
For Chemist 3:
  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field with 5+ years of experience in LC analytical work.
  • Expertise with advanced instrumentation (MS, MS/MS, HR-MS/MS) and data analysis.
  • Proven ability to lead method development, troubleshoot complex issues, and mentor junior chemists.
  • Experience in FDA studies and complex sample analyses preferred.
