Cherry Picker
Location: Hebron, KY
Shift: 2nd Shift
Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour
Role Overview:
The Cherry Picker will provide essential warehouse support, primarily operating forklifts and ensuring the efficient movement of products, equipment, and materials. This role requires certification and experience in operating forklifts, including cherry pickers, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate Cherry Picker: Safely operate both forklifts and cherry pickers to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move items within the warehouse.
- Compliance & Safety: Strict adherence to safety and regulatory standards, including OSHA regulations.
- Order Handling: Pick, wrap, and stage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Inventory Management: Conduct cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Equipment Inspection: Regularly inspect forklifts, cherry pickers, and other material handling equipment, ensuring operational safety.
- Safety Monitoring: Identify potential safety hazards and address them promptly.
- Pallet Consolidation: Efficiently consolidate partial pallets to optimize space and organization.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2+ years operating powered forklifts and cherry pickers.
- Material-Handling Knowledge: Familiarity with various material-handling equipment is advantageous.
- Mathematical Skills: Proficient in mathematics for accurate cycle counts and inventory management.
- Safety Orientation: Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to quality standards.
- Physical Ability: Capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted.
Candidates should possess technological proficiency in using PCs, scanners, and other devices necessary for completing job tasks efficiently. This role offers an opportunity for growth in a dynamic warehouse environment.
