Clinical Laboratory Scientist II
Location: Clarksville, IN
Schedule: Tuesday–Saturday; Two shifts available: 7:00 PM–3:30 AM or 3:00 AM–11:30 AM
Compensation: $30–$34 per hour (based on experience)

Employment Type: Direct Hire with Full Benefits
Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking multiple Clinical Laboratory Scientists II for direct hire opportunities in Clarksville, IN. These roles will focus on high-complexity infectious disease testing, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and laboratory best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform sample preparation, DNA extraction, and PCR analysis
  • Operate laboratory instruments including KingFisher Flex, VeritiPro, AccuFill, QuantStudio 12K and 5
  • Execute precise manual and electronic pipetting of small-volume samples
  • Collaborate with Lab Management and Quality teams to review workflows and update SOPs
  • Maintain accurate and organized inventory levels and laboratory workspaces
  • Ensure output metrics are met and testing quality is maintained
  • Follow and understand all SOPs, procedures, and quality control protocols to ensure data integrity
  • Complete all required CEU credits for CAP accreditation
  • Support compliance by tracking and reviewing incident reports under supervisor guidance

Qualifications:
  • Associate degree or higher in a biological or chemical science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution
  • Certification as MLT or MT/MLS by ASCP, AMT, or equivalent (preferred but not required)
  • Completion of an accredited clinical laboratory training program (ABHES, NAACLS, or other HHS-approved organizations), or at least three months of documented laboratory training in each specialty of high-complexity testing performed
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in high-complexity PCR laboratory testing
  • Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and lab cleanliness requirements
