CNC Machine Set-Up / Operator (3rd Shift)
$19.80/hr + Monthly Attendance Bonus | West Chicago, IL (Moving to Northbrook early 2026)
Job Type: Full-time, Temp-to-Hire (Start with Kelly Services for 3–6 months, with opportunity to be hired on permanently)
Shift: 3rd Shift | 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM (Overtime highly encouraged)
Start: ASAP (after onboarding/screening steps are completed)
This is a clean, organized CNC environment with clear standards and direct communication. Pay note: 3rd shift pays $19.80/hr. In addition, you'll earn an extra $2.50/hr as long as you complete the full month with reliable attendance (monthly attendance bonus program).

Job Details
• Pay: $19.80/hr (3rd shift) + $2.50/hr monthly attendance bonus (must complete the full month)
• Location: West Chicago, IL (Relocation/travel to Northbrook, IL required in early 2026)
• Shift: 3rd Shift | 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM
• Overtime: Highly encouraged
• Required: High school diploma, basic manufacturing understanding, intermediate math, willingness to learn and be promoted

What You'll Do
• Operate CNC machines producing small/precision components—follow work instructions and blueprints with zero shortcuts
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and visual checks (accuracy matters)
• Complete production logs and inspection sheets every shift—clear, legible, no scribbles
• Learn and apply machining offsets to correct part issues (training provided)
• Input production, quality, and safety data daily—transparency is expected
• Maintain a spotless area (wipe down equipment, mop at shift end, handle chips/scrap properly)
• Use scales to weigh/count very small pieces and record Heat Lot numbers for traceability
• Follow safety procedures and standards every shift—non-negotiable

What I'm Looking For (Apply Only If You Meet These)
• 0–2 years in machining/manufacturing (attitude and reliability matter; skills can be trained)
• Comfortable using measuring tools (calipers/micrometers) and reading basic blueprints
• Intermediate math skills and strong attention to detail
• Committed to cleanliness and following process exactly
• Able to work independently on 3rd shift and communicate clearly
• Willing and able to travel/relocate to Northbrook, IL in early 2026 (required)
