At Kelly® Professional & Industrial, we're seeking a CNC Machinist to work for a premier manufacturer in Marion, NY. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity with strong pay, stable schedules, and room to grow across multiple skill levels. With us, it's all about finding the right opportunity for you!
Pay: $24.50 - $32.50/hr. (Depending on experience).
Schedule: B Shift (3:30pm to 2:00am, Monday – Thursday).
- Training on A Shift (7am to 3:30pm, Monday – Friday) for the first 4-6 weeks.
Summary: In this role, the CNC Machinist will operate CNC lathes and/or mills to manufacture PTFE seals in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment. Opportunities are available across multiple skill levels, ranging from trainee to advanced machinist, with responsibilities aligned to experience and capability.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Operate CNC lathes and mills according to standard work instructions
- Read and interpret blueprints, micrometers, and Vernier calipers
- Make necessary tooling adjustments and perform basic troubleshooting
- Set up standard and some non-standard jobs (level dependent)
- Perform preventive and basic maintenance on equipment
- Accurately complete production and labor reporting
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area following 5S standards
- Actively participate in safety programs and continuous improvement teams (HPTs)
- Report injuries, near misses, and unsafe conditions immediately
- Support overtime and flexible scheduling based on customer demand
- Complete other duties as assigned
This job might be an outstanding fit if you…
- Have 1+ year of CNC machining experience
- Can read blueprints, micrometers, and calipers
- Are detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety and quality
- Are comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Are open to training on 1st shift and working 2nd shift long-term
- Have an Associate degree in Machining or a related technical field (preferred, not required)
