Job Summary: The Commercial Analyst will play a pivotal role in executing analytics and reporting initiatives that focus on contract compliance, sales incentive compensation, sales performance, and commercial operations. This position is tasked with compiling and analyzing sales and contract data to support informed decision-making, enhance compliance, and improve field execution. The analyst will develop tools and dashboards, manage rebate and compliance calculations, and assist in the administration of sales compensation, account alignments, quotas, and territory planning.
This role requires collaboration with various departments, including Sales, Customer Service, Finance, HR, Marketing, Legal, Contracts, and IT, to identify trends, generate insights, and foster operational excellence within the commercial organization. The position operates under the guidance of a team leader and does not have direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate and distribute regular reports on contract compliance and customer performance.
  • Collaborate with sales and contracts teams to support compliance reviews and monitor customer adherence to pricing and volume agreements.
  • Process and validate rebate and administrative fee submissions for GPOs, IDNs, and other pricing agreements.
  • Calculate and process promotional and marketing rebates.
  • Conduct ad hoc pricing and compliance analyses to support field enablement and commercial initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with System for Award Management (SAM) requirements and manage annual SAM registration for assigned business units.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and analytical tools that provide actionable insights into sales performance and business operations.
  • Perform sales data analysis to aid strategic projects, territory alignments, and the execution of sales strategies.
  • Maintain quotas and account assignment data in Access databases.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to synthesize data from various sources and deliver meaningful reporting.
  • Assist in creating materials for business reviews and performance updates.
  • Contribute to the administration of sales compensation programs, including monthly commission calculations and performance tracking.
  • Compile and validate data for Total Rewards, SOX compliance, territory alignments, and quota-setting activities.
  • Collaborate with business partners to automate and continuously improve reporting processes and tools.
  • Present complex data in a clear and concise manner for both field and internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate business-related issues and opportunities to management.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Experience and Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Sales & Marketing, Contracting, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in Analytics, Commercial/Sales Operations, Finance, or a related field, preferably within the medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.
  • Experience working in cross-functional, matrixed environments is highly preferred.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables, SUMIF) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense).
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience with database management and maintenance is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Power Platform is a plus.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
