Kelly is hiring a Senior Construction Specialist for a 12-month Contract role with one of our prestigious clients based out in 7501 State Highway 185 North, Seadrift, TX 77983.

Pay range $60-78/HR

Construction Management Lead: The Construction Management Lead will oversee direct construction management activities by leading the construction management work process discipline, demonstrates lead competencies of directing others, staffing, planning and controlling projects. Ensures construction of facilities meet EH&S quality, cost and schedule per the business's requirements. Typically, at this level would lead several intermediate sites executed projects up to a single large project. Requires expanded conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and broadens capabilities.

Key Responsibilities & Job Duties
• Champion construction safety best practices and actively drive a zero-incident safety culture on contracts.
• Provide direct leadership to Construction Management staff on particular project, including visible, proactive leadership in all matters related to safety, quality, schedule and cost.
• Develop and execute Construction Management plans to identify construction resource needs for a specific project. Ensures that the budget reflects the plan and works with the project manager, if discrepancies arise. Works with construction resource leader to fill the positions.
• Partner with Project Managers and Construction Resource Leaders to resolve resourcing gaps and budget discrepancies.
• Provide construction expertise during Front End Loading (FEL). Minimizes construction costs through proper planning, technology, application and constructability techniques.
• Provides input to the Contract Labor Strategy. Manages the construction companies, the labor contracts, resolves claims, monitors and controls labor cost.
• Understands and utilizes the Global Capital Work Process (GPM) Construction Work Process discipline. Utilizes the Construction expertise networks.
• Assists in the development of effective construction integrated schedules. Ensures that construction schedules are met or that discrepancies are communicated in a timely fashion.
• Minimize startup and operability issues through the implementation of quality plans.
• Coach and mentor new and less experienced construction personnel.
• Uses in-depth knowledge of internal and external standards and practices; and knowledge of constructability processes and how to effectively apply to specific project situation to perform role.
• Drive the adoption of best practices and construction technologies to enhance safety, productivity, and cost control.
• Provide continuous improvement feedback to business technology centers and hardware disciplines regarding most effective technologies (MET).

Required Skills & Qualifications (Must Have)
• Strong leadership and supervisory skills with experience directing construction teams.
• In depth knowledge of construction management practices, constructability, and safety standards.
• Proven ability to manage contractors, labor agreements, and construction budgets.
• Experience with large, site executed capital projects.
• Strong planning, scheduling, and cost control capabilities.
• Working knowledge of Global Capital Work Process (GPM) or similar construction work processes.
• Ability to coach, mentor, and develop construction personnel.
Education & Experience :  Bachelor's degree in Construction, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred OR Equivalent years of relevant construction experience in lieu of a degree.
