Job Title: Procurement Contracts Coordinator
 
Job Summary:

Reporting to the Manager of Solicitations, Compliance & Contracts Administration, you will serve as the primary liaison among Procurement, Legal, Suppliers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless contract workflows and robust compliance. Job Specifications:

  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Location: Charleston, SC
  • Experience: 4+ years in procurement, contract administration, or sponsored research contracting
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including intake, review routing, signature, repository upload, and renewal tracking
  • Review contract requests for completeness and compliance with procurement thresholds and institutional policies
  • Collaborate with Procurement Buyers, Legal Counsel, Stakeholders, and Suppliers to secure appropriate approvals
  • Monitor expiring contracts and support timely renewals or amendments with Procurement Managers and departments
  • Maintain and audit the contract repository to ensure accuracy, compliance, and readiness for reporting
  • Prepare summary activity data and work with Procurement Managers to ensure documentation integrity
  • Generate routine contract activity reports for leadership review
Qualifications & Skills:
  • 4+ years of experience in procurement, contract administration, or sponsored research contracting
  • Familiarity with ERP technology (Workday or similar procurement modules); experience with DocuSign or contract management tools preferred
  • Sound understanding of procurement compliance requirements and/or state/university contracting processes
  • Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related discipline
  • Experience in academic medical center or state university settings
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, BAA, and research contracting principles
  • Professional certification (NIGP-CPP, CPPB, or CAPS)
  • Experience with Symplr, Workday, or similar contract management technology
