Location: Onsite – Houston, Texas (Downtown)
Job Type: 1 year contract
Industry: Oil & Gas (Mid-Stream LNG a plus)
Pay rate: $35 - $45 per hour (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate end-to-end contracting – from requirements definition, sourcing, bidding, negotiation, to securing agreements.
  • Manage contract planning, strategy, risk assessment/mitigation, and finalization, working closely with business owners and the Contracts Manager.
  • Evaluate supplier performance, maintain compliance, and communicate results to operations.
  • Interface effectively with various levels of management and external suppliers.
Essential Duties / Functions:
  • Advise on contract strategy and support requests from business stakeholders.
  • Develop, evaluate, and execute contracts and amendments for materials, services, and professional/procurement contracts.
  • Identify cost saving and process improvement opportunities; negotiate terms, monitor renewals, and ensure no lapses in service.
  • Lead bidding activities and participate or lead special projects.
  • Facilitate supplier qualification and analyze contract deliverables for efficiency.
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with company policies.
  • Support P2P activities and provide regular updates to stakeholders and management.
  • Champion excellent customer service and communication.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business administration, or related field (or 5+ years' experience in contracts in lieu of degree).
  • 5+ years of contracting/procurement/supply chain experience.
  • 5+ years Oil & Gas experience (Mid-Stream LNG preferred).
  • Proficiency in SAP and Open Text (a plus).
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of contracting, procurement, and control principles.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, communication, and presentation abilities.
  • Initiative, time management, and the ability to drive processes to completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface and lead across multiple organizations and management levels.
