Job Title: Controller – Real Estate Investment & Development
Location: South Miami, FL (On-site)
Type: Full-Time | Permanent | Direct Hire
Compensation: $110,000 – $150,000 base salary (may be some flexibility based on experience)
Incentives: Performance-based bonus and/or profit sharing

A well-established real estate development and investment group in South Miami is seeking a hands-on, solutions-focused Controller to lead its finance operations. This role offers high visibility, strategic input across multiple projects, and day-to-day oversight of a small internal accounting team.

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain oversight of daily and long-term cash activity across multiple entities and projects

  • Forecast upcoming capital needs in alignment with development timelines and funding schedules

  • Oversee and support a small accounting team, ensuring accurate and efficient workflow

  • Lead all accounting operations, including GL management, bank reconciliations, and monthly closings

  • Generate financial statements and reports for internal stakeholders, capital partners, and lenders

  • Coordinate with external tax advisors on filings, compliance, and planning

  • Drive budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis at both the corporate and project level

  • Support capital activity, including equity tracking, loan draws, and reporting packages

What We're Looking For:

  • Real estate accounting experience is required

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or financial operations

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

  • CPA is preferred

  • Strong understanding of multi-entity structures, project-based accounting, and development finance

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
