Kelly is seeking a Controller to work for our client, a small technology and manufacturing company that has been in business and successful on a global scale for 20+ years, on a direct hire basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional with strong leadership ability to support rapid business growth with possible M&A in 3-5 years!

The Controller will:

  • Report to the Chief Operating Officer
  • Supervise one Accounting Specialist
  • Oversee all aspects of accounting functions including general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to maintain accurate financial records
  • Prepare detailed financial reports and management summaries for executive review
  • Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic planning
  • Implement internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure adherence to company policies
  • Manage cash flow, cash management, and credit management activities to optimize liquidity, working capital, and funding strategies
  • Prepare and present KPI and financial reporting to the management team, board, and shareholders
  • Support board and shareholder communications and reporting requirements
  • Coordinate due diligence activities, including information gathering and reporting
  • Support human resources by assisting personnel across all aspects of HR operations
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business; MBA ideal
  • At least 5 years of experience with increasing level of responsibility in accounting and finance positions
  • Accounting expertise within the manufacturing industry (cost accounting etc.)
  • Demonstrated expertise in cash management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing comprehensive financial reports
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights for management decision-making
  • Strong technical accounting skills with experience in general ledger accounting and account analysis
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
  • High level Human Resources experience
