Corporate Accountant
IMPORTANT TO KNOW:
1. This is onsite in Woodland Hills, CA
2. Resource will be paid as a W-2 employee by the staffing supplier.
3. Contract Duration: 2 months
4. Pay Rate: $38 - $44/hr
Requires 3 years of experience in accounting or related field. Applies generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to devise, implement and administer accounting systems in a variety of functional areas to produce/provide appropriate statements and/or management reports. Prepares journal entries, performs reconciliations, and performs account analysis. Audits various records to verify accuracy. Instructs or assigns work to clerks and staff engaged in general accounting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
-Reconciliation of general ledger accounts.
-Identifies root cause of out of balances, necessary adjustments, timely corrective action, and prepares documentation in support of the reconciliation.
-Prepare and analyze financial statements, various reports, and financial records for assigned companies.
-Prepares, processes, and validates recurring and miscellaneous accounting entries (journals/payments) for month close.
-Ensures accuracy of assigned tasks and completion by assigned due date.
-Takes initiative as well as ownership and responsibility for assigned tasks.
-Performs miscellaneous special projects and other duties as assigned.
-Collaborate with various functions on projects to ensure that accounting guidelines and deliverables are met.
Qualifications:
- Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables, macros, v-lookup, etc)
- SAP experience
- IFRS reporting experience
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Deviation analysis experience for balance sheet and operating results
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience researching complex accounting issues and errors providing solutions
- Detail oriented
- Strong Excel skills, including experience with pivot tables and v-lookup
- Advanced Excell skills with Pivot Table
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience.
