The Dental Hygiene Specialist will sit at the front desk and assist patients in the college's dental clinic by greeting them and scheduling appointments, etc.

What's a typical day as a Dental Hygiene Specialist? You'll be:
• Performing secretarial and technical duties in the operation of the Dental Hygiene Program and Clinic
• Preparing, proofreading, and distributing correspondence, forms, memos, notes, labels, information packets, etc.
• Answering and screening telephone calls, taking messages, scheduling meetings and appointments
• Assisting students and/or employees as needed
• Compiling information from various sources, including budgetary information
• Attending and taking minutes at meetings, as needed
• Preparing and entering faculty and adjunct faculty paperwork
• Utilizing college systems for patient appointment and maintaining appropriate records, patient deposits and account balances
• Scheduling Dental Hygiene students for appropriate duties
• Maintaining records and processing monthly reports of equipment, instruments, consumable supplies and materials for DHY clinic and labs
• Monitoring the budget for the DHY clinic and ordering supplies and equipment
• Operating office equipment and Dental Hygiene (DHY) equipment
• Training and directing college student personnel with appropriate approval

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have an earned Associate Degree or higher in Applied Science (Dental Hygiene), Business Administration, Business Information Systems or Computer Information Systems
• Have computer keyboard proficiency of 60 wpm
• Have four (4) years medical office of secretarial experience
• Have demonstrated customer service experience
