Description

Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Digital Print Lead in Des Plaines, IL. Candidate must have 1–3 years of experience in large-format digital printing or sign production, and familiarity with digital workflows, and RIP software (Caldera or similar).

This is a Direct Hire, Permanent position, meaning you will be hired permanently with our client and offered their competitive benefit and vacation package upon hire.

Job Details
The Digital Print Operator is responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of large format digital printers that produce high-quality color graphics. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and experience in digital printing. This role requires multitasking in a fast-paced production environment while maintaining top-tier output quality and meeting strict deadlines.

Job Description

  • Operate and maintain large-format digital printers (FUJIFILM, AGFA, and others as needed)
  • Prepare materials and set up printers according to job ticket instructions to achieve desired results
  • Use RIP software (Caldera) to manage print jobs and ensure color accuracy and quality output
  • Conduct quality control checks, including color profiling, corrections, and proofing
  • Manage print production schedules to meet deadlines and ensure timely delivery
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on printers and equipment
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and safe at all times
  • Continuously expand knowledge of printing techniques, materials, and processes
  • Collaborate with the production team and other departments to ensure seamless workflow
  • Perform additional duties as needed to support overall production goals

Skills/Qualifications Required
  • 1–3 years of experience in large-format digital printing or sign production
  • Familiarity with digital workflows, and RIP software (Caldera or similar)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions
  • Excellent color and detail recognition with a strong eye for quality and consistency
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-based, and fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively to meet production deadlines
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to lift materials as needed and stand for extended periods during shifts
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and eagerness to learn and grow
