Pay Rate: $48.00/hr
Contract: 6 months
What's a typical day as a Senior Editor? You'll be:
• Editing and proofreading copy for assigned and other brands as needed, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained.
• Fact-checking annotated copy using provided references, ensuring acceptable sources are utilized.
• Collaborating and communicating effectively with the Editorial Director and team members to meet goals and maintain quality.
• Prioritizing and managing your workload, meetings, and various tasks to ensure all deliverables are met with excellence.
• Understanding assigned brands and product categories thoroughly to ensure adherence to client and brand guidelines.
• Contributing ideas and feedback for improving processes and minimizing errors.
• Proactively offering and providing help to others to ensure all work moves through the department efficiently.
• Creating and maintaining brand style guides and bibliographies in a timely manner.
• Understanding and executing AMA style and varying editorial styles per brand needs.
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Hold any college degree with 3 to 5 years of medical editing and fact-checking experience in a pharma ad agency or medical education environment (agency experience preferred). This is a non-negotiable.
• Demonstrate the ability to work independently with a motivated, self-starting attitude.
• Are flexible and able to creatively adapt to changing deadlines, providing recommendations as needed.
• Possess knowledge of current AMA style and FDA guidelines governing pharmaceutical promotional materials.
• Have a solid ability to use MS Office (including Outlook, Teams, and Word), Adobe Acrobat, and/or ProofHQ.
