Position: EHS Supervisor
Location: Fuquay Varina, NC
Department: Environmental Health & Safety
Reports To: EHS Manager
Duration: 8+ months
Pay: $45-$50 per hour
Shift: 1st; 8-5 M-F, with a 1-hour lunch break

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced EHS Supervisor to join our team and help enhance the safety and environmental programs at our manufacturing facility.
Position Summary:
As an EHS Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in implementing, monitoring, and continuously improving safety and environmental programs, ensuring they align with company policies and regulatory standards. Your expertise will help us to maintain a safe and compliant workplace for all employees.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety Program Implementation:
- Lead EHS Operations: Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, local, and company regulations.
- Training Development: Deliver EHS training programs to employees at all levels, emphasizing hazard recognition, accident prevention, and safety best practices.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments and job safety analyses to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Investigate Incidents: Lead or support investigations into accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents; conduct root cause analyses and develop corrective actions.
- Document & Report: Maintain accurate documentation of incidents and ensure timely reporting to regulatory agencies when required.
- Foster Improvement Culture: Collaborate with department heads and employees to enhance safety and environmental compliance.
- Trend Analysis: Analyze trends in workplace incidents and environmental impacts to identify opportunities for program enhancements.
- Monitor Metrics: Ensure compliance with environmental permits, waste management practices, and pollution controls.
- Initiatives: Implement initiatives to reduce environmental impacts, such as waste minimization and energy conservation projects.
- EHS Audits: Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, evaluate control measures, and ensure compliance.
- External Audits: Coordinate and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Planning & Training: Support planning, training, and drill execution for emergency responses.
- Maintain Equipment: Assist in maintaining emergency equipment and procedures, including fire extinguishers, spill kits, and evacuation plans.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 3+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with hands-on knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state regulations.
- Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, with an ability to work effectively across departments.
- Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in EHS software and Microsoft Office applications.
