Job Summary:
We are seeking an Electronics Technician I to join our team as a Service Technician focusing on the repair and refurbishment of coffee equipment. This temp-to-perm position serves as a stepping stone to becoming a road technician, which may take one to two years. The ideal candidate will have experience with tools and a strong commitment to achieving customer satisfaction through timely and professional repairs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Possess a basic understanding of all brands and configurations of equipment offered by New England Coffee Company, including coffee, tea, and related product preparation equipment.
- Familiarity with wiring schematics.
- Understand mechanical, plumbing, and electrical systems at a basic level.
- Demonstrate basic diagnostic skills to troubleshoot customer equipment and technical problems, often collaborating with members of the sales force over the telephone.
- Proactively detect and correct potential issues before they escalate.
- Complete clear and accurate work orders documenting service provided, parts used, and results achieved.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the Equipment Supervisor.
- Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training.
- Maintain safe and efficient use of equipment, tools, and personal safety.
- Report any injury or accident immediately to a supervisor and any unsafe conditions.
- Ensure operations provide food-safe, quality products that meet or exceed all product specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Requirements:
- Experience with tools and basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Strong diagnostic skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work under general supervision and follow instructions.
- Commitment to safety and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in repairing or refurbishing coffee or related equipment.
- Familiarity with customer service principles.
