Position: Engineering Technician
Type: Contract (3 months with possible extension)
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (ONSITE position)
Hourly Pay: $30-$35/hr. (Based on Experience)

Kelly Engineering is currently seeking a qualified Engineering Technician for our client in Sunnyvale, CA. This is a 3 month contract role for a rapidly growing, cutting-edge medical device company.  Your rate of pay will range from $30-$35, based on experience. SUMMARY

Under supervision or direction, work with Engineering Teams to execute and document test plans and qualification protocols; perform routine engineering testing on consumables to evaluate new materials/components and processes. Perform verification and validation testing of hardware and data analysis. As necessary, provide feedback to engineers regarding system performance relative to design metrics, including DOE/DIR activities. This hands-on position involves a high level of organization, communication skills, and documentation practices to ensure all in-process qualification and engineering testing data accuracy. In this position, overtime may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • High degree of efficiency in supporting concurrent project priorities
  • Hands-on lab to assemble and test injection molded plastics according to test protocols and test methods
  • Hands-on testing hardware (mechanical, optical, electrical) instrumentation and consumables
  • Measure critical-to-function dimensions and inspect development parts and assemblies using metrology systems and equipment.
  • Root cause failure analysis and hands-on troubleshooting of consumables parts, hardware, and software
  • Assist Engineers with a broad range of parts development activities.
  • All other duties assigned by the supervisor/manager
  • Complete all assigned and required training satisfactorily and on time
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's Degree and No experience necessary
  • BS in Bioengineering highly preferred (Mechanical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering if not)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with MATLAB, script writing, and troubleshooting
  • Effectively work in a team environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive
  • Hands-on, able to work with minimal supervision
It would be a plus if you also possess:
  • Prior reliability experience or knowledge of reliability tests(ALT, HALT, HTHH)
  • Weibul++ software
  • Design and Development testing or Verification.
  • Experience with any coding language C
