Location: New Haven, CT 06515
Pay Rate: $21.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (In-Office Only)
Assignment Type: Long term assignment-Possible permanent placement for the right candidate

We're seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and service-driven Entry-Level Section 8 Housing Case Worker to join our team in New Haven, CT. In this full-time, in-office role, you'll help individuals and families access and maintain affordable housing. If you're a quick learner with excellent people skills and a strong attendance record, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with applications and documentation for housing assistance
  • Determine eligibility and ensure compliance
  • Coordinate with landlords, tenants, and property managers on lease matters
  • Support tenants in maintaining program requirements and stable housing
  • Maintain accurate records, manage case files, and update databases
  • Respond promptly and professionally to calls, emails, and walk-ins
  • Thrive in a fast-paced office setting requiring multitasking and focus
Qualifications:
  • Strong attendance and punctuality required – reliability is a must!
  • Customer service experience required; call center experience a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in human services or related field a plus
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
