Job Title: Environmental Monitoring Technician (Microbiology)
Shift: Monday – Friday | 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (Overnight)
Environment: Grade A Cleanroom | Full Gowning Required
Industry: Pharmaceutical / cGMP Manufacturing
As an Environmental Monitoring Technician (Microbiology), you will play a critical role in safeguarding the quality and sterility of innovative therapies. Your work directly supports manufacturing operations and ensures environmental conditions meet the highest regulatory and safety standards—helping bring groundbreaking treatments to patients in need.
This position operates in a Grade A cleanroom environment and requires full gowning, strict adherence to aseptic techniques, and compliance with cGMP standards.
Key Responsibilities-
Conduct environmental sampling of manufacturing areas, including air, surface, water, and gas samples, in compliance with cGMP and corporate policies

Perform environmental monitoring during batching and production processes

Execute routine monitoring of cleanroom environments at established frequencies

Collect water and gas utility samples using production equipment

Operate viable and non-viable air samplers

Utilize LIMS software for sample tracking, label creation, and QC sample submission

Support laboratory operations with basic microbiological tasks and documentation

Maintain accurate records to support regulatory compliance and audit readiness

Follow strict cleanroom gowning procedures and aseptic techniques at all times

Grade A cleanroom setting

Full gowning required (including sterile gown, gloves, hood, mask, and related PPE)

Handling of controlled and potentially hazardous materials

Physically active role requiring standing for extended periods

Occasional overtime and weekend work as needed

Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or a related scientific discipline

Experience in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, manufacturing, or cGMP-regulated environments

Familiarity with FDA regulatory requirements preferred

Hands-on experience operating air samplers and environmental monitoring equipment

Experience working in cleanroom environments

Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

Ability to follow strict aseptic and contamination control procedures
