Pay: $25-27/hr based on experience

Hours: Monday through Friday 8:30am-5:00pm  
This position is 100% on site in Torrance, CA
Must be Bilingual in Spanish

Responsibilities for this role will include:

  • This position is the primary liaison with AHM's distributors and Genpos and supports maintaining the highest levels of service and parts availability for our export customers by maintaining on-time delivery, shipment integrity, and supporting the reduction of Backorders and Critical Backorders.
  • You would handle the Export Distributor accounts and support with forecasting, order support, pricing, working with our internal departments such as Inventory control and our Supply teams, KPI tracking). A lot of coordination with different internal departments
  • The Distributor Coordinator is assigned key export Distributors and Genpos of mid-complexity, and must work with other internal groups to meet customer service expectations. At this level, the Distributor Coordinator will be actively engaged in efforts to improve service level, reduce export backorders and critical backorders, and support department policies.
  • This position requires frequent updates to Management on key efforts to achieve customer satisfaction (i.e., weekly CBO updates to executives) and special projects such as Export Backorder and CBO management.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the main window person for assigned export customers and will work with multiple departments such as Spec (to set up part numbers y-Kits), Supply (to gather ETA information for our customers and request expedites), Campaign and Service (to submit orders for customers), Regulatory (to support shipping compliant parts to different markets), IPC (to provide customer forecasts). Additional responsibilities include overseeing the W37 (forecasting) program with different customers and supporting New model activities.
  • Support quality claims processing and coordinates with the quality team for inspections and returns of exception freight when necessary from overseas customers.
  • Have a working knowledge of the customer expectations and the export logistics flow and will be able to work with different departments within the Parts and Service division.
  • Be responsible for overall Export Service Level, W37 forecast accuracy, Backorders, CBOs, and on-time delivery of assigned customers. The entry-level supply specialist is responsible for customers with moderate complexity and sales.
  • Conduct periodic Video conferences with assigned customers as well as provide monthly reports required for Management review, distributor summaries, monthly customer video conferences, Trees, and CAPDos.
  • Special projects will also be assigned, and travel to meet with top customers may be required.

Daily Tasks:

  • Customer service activities (Conduct monthly video conference calls, Distributor and Genpo visits, researching, analyzing, and providing ETA's, coordinating orders. Daily communication, and understanding of customer market situation. Work with internal departments to expedite and address customer regulatory requirements, etc.)
  • Overall Export Service Level & Inter-Regional S/L @ N+2
  • New Model parts availability (ensure parts shipped on time for launch)
  • Export BO and CBO management (BO reduction, release, and recovery) and weekly presentations to executives

Reporting and special projects

  • Work with part centers and ECS Logistics to ensure shipments are processed and shipped on a timely basis.
  • W37 Program (obtain forecasts, submit to IPC, track performance, CAPDo, annual review)

Required Skills:

  • BA/BS degree in Business or equivalent
  • Equivalent work experience in a business environment in lieu of a degree
  • 2+ years of experience in export customer service or related field
  • Bilingual – Spanish
  • Experienced in managing  International customers

Desired Skills:

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite – Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word
  • Proficiency in Business Objects reporting
  • Experience in international business beneficial
  • Basic understanding of AHM Parts Business and Operations
  • Planning & Organizing
  • Communication & Informing Skills
