Facilities & Production Maintenance Supervisor
Overview:
Join our dynamic team as a Facilities & Production Maintenance Supervisor, where you'll lead a team of skilled technicians overseeing the critical maintenance of buildings, grounds, facility systems, and production equipment. In this role, you'll play a pivotal part in ensuring the efficiency and safety of our operations across a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day maintenance and support activities to ensure seamless facility operations.
- Address maintenance-related concerns by actively monitoring dashboards and ensuring timely delivery of services.
- Lead a team responsible for the installation, inspection, repair, and upkeep of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and production equipment.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving, contributing to team development and positive work relationships.
- Implement and manage Preventive Maintenance Programs, collaborating to research and implement process improvements.
- Operate and maintain industrial trucks, scissor lifts, aerial lifts, and material handling equipment safely.
- Track and report Key Performance Indicators to demonstrate departmental improvements and adhere to established metrics.
- Maintain organized and clean maintenance shop areas, enforcing compliance with safety and Lean 6S principles.
- Allocate time between scheduling, parts order management, supervising the maintenance team, and conducting hands-on repairs (70% administrative, 30% on-floor activity).
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test, and maintain a clean driving record.
- Current industrial facilities and/or maintenance certifications are mandatory.
- At least 8 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as a facilities and production maintenance technician.
- Minimum 5 years experience leading and supervising a team of facility and production maintenance technicians.
- Proficient knowledge of electrical principles, schematics, and best practices including LOTO and Arc Flash.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing CNCs, welding equipment, paint booths, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical equipment, and more.
- Skilled in operating PITs, scissor lifts, aerial lifts, and material handling equipment.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with CMMS tools like Maximo, Fiix, and Upkeep.
- Experience with ERP software, especially Syteline.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and 6S principles is advantageous.
