Description
Kelly Services is seeking a skilled Facilities Custodian in Melbourne! This role is responsible for coordinating with Facilities Supervisor/Lead on performing day-to-day work orders. Implement good housekeeping practices throughout the facility.
Shift & Pay rates:
2nd Shift: Mon-Fri (1 Sat. a month) / 3:30pm - 11:30pm
$20.00 hour (negotiable DOE)

- Handling assigned duties to include emptying trash, mopping cafeteria restrooms, replenishing paper towels and other paper products in restrooms, vacuuming offices and high traffic areas, etc.
- Ensure that janitorial supplies are well stocked in all areas throughout the facility.
- Responsible for repair and maintenance of basic production equipment.
- Adhere to preventative maintenance program and schedules.
- Respond to facility emergencies as needed.
- Set-up and operate all tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned work.
- Perform minor landscaping and hardscaping on exterior grounds.
- Perform line and office moves as required, working closely with Facilities Team Members.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of work area and surrounding workspace.
- Usage of Manned Lift Training Required and usage of eight footstep ladder to perform various duties as needed.
- High School Diploma or equivalent education.
- 1 + years of experience in a facilities, maintenance or housekeeping role.
- Forklift and scissor lift certifications preferred or ability to be certified
- Knowledge of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC and painting preferred.
- Must be able to read, write and communicate in English, as well as have basic computer knowledge and competency
- Able to troubleshoot, assess and implement solutions and ability to complete most tasks independently.
- OSHA training preferred.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter, reliable and able to perform duties with little or no supervision.
- Able to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Hands-on, team player used to working in a highly dynamic environment.
- Ability to prioritize and organize workload to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.
- Excellent attendance record a must.
- US Person as defined in 22 CRF Part 120.15 U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees and those given asylum in the United States, and temporary residents granted amnesty since work includes ITAR controlled technical data
