Pay Rate:          $21 per hour

What's a typical day as a Field Research Assistant? You'll be:

• Processing plant material in a laboratory setting
• Utilizing lab software systems to track samples and record data
• Maintaining work areas to ensure a safe and contamination-free environment
• Following best practices, protocols, and regulations to protect sample quality and integrity
• Working in walk-in freezers and handling frozen samples and dry ice
• Standing for extended periods of time and occasionally lifting heavy objects
• Wearing hearing protection for extended periods of time
• Operating lyophilizers, blenders/grinders, and analytical balances

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Are able to work in a cold environment and handle physical tasks.
• Have strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Are a team player with excellent communication skills
• Have experience in tissue processing, food manufacturing, warehouse operations, and/or inventory management (a plus)
• Have knowledge of GLP or USDA biotech regulations (a plus)
