What's a typical day as a Material Handler/Forklift Operator? You'll be:
• Operating a variety of equipment including forklift and recycling equipment
• Using hand and powered tools to perform duties as required
• Safely and efficiently operating equipment to complete assigned tasks
• Following all safety protocols and guidelines while operating equipment
• Performing routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning
• Collaborating with team members to coordinate work activities and ensure project deadlines are met
This job might be an outstanding fit if you:
• Have previous experience operating equipment such as conveyors, trash compactors, pumps, power washers, and forklifts
• Have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Have a strong knowledge of equipment operation and maintenance procedures
• Have the ability to read and interpret diagrams related to equipment operation
• Have excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Have physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that may require heavy lifting or long periods of standing or sitting
• Have a strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Are willing to work in various weather conditions and environments
