Description

Job title: Forklift Operator

Location: 7300 Reames Rd., Charlotte, NC 28216

Pay rate: $20.50 per hour

Shift: Monday - Thursday, 4pm - 2:15 am. If overtime is needed they will work on Friday.

 

The forklift production is responsible for providing product using a forklift or manual pallet jack to and from the lines.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

· Bringing and receiving the correct material to and from the line.

· Keep lines stocked with product per production schedule.

· Performs safety inspection checks on forklift.

· Verifies orders and components.

· Responsible for wrapping skids.

· Operates forklift, power pallet jack or manual carts or pallet jacks to unload, move or store materials.

· Follows work instructions and pays attention to details.

· Follows safety and PPE procedures and reports violations to supervisor, leads, and/or to safety.

· Achieves/performs daily targets and output of production.

· Meets quality standards for the line.

· Follows work practices that are in the guidelines of OSHA standards.

· Follows all Environmental Health and Safety rules and ISO requirements.

· Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with 5s requirements, rules, and regulations.

· Must be able to work required overtime as needed.

· Work with members of leadership and quality to solve issues.

· Other duties may be assigned as needed.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

 

- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

 

Experience:

 

· Previous forklift experience in a manufacturing setting.

· Able to read and write in English preferred but not required.

· Basic math skills with ability to perform basic math calculations, such as, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Plus, knowledge of fractions and decimals.

· Strong communication skills.

· Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

· Able to coordinate shipping products.

· Strong time management skills.

· Able to read and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule format.

· Ability to work in a team environment; good interpersonal skills.

· Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to change.

· Good hand/eye coordination
