Formulation Chemist
Location: Bristol, PA
Division: Research and Innovation Center- Home and Personal Care
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating with a senior scientist to develop novel base formulations aimed at achieving long-lasting cleansing of hard surfaces.
- Preparing formulations and conducting application tests on various treated substrates (polymeric, stainless steel, ceramic) to assess cleaning performance and film appearance, following standardized protocols.
- Planning and executing experiments, conducting stability tests, setting project milestones, and driving projects to completion while creating clear charts and tables to represent outcomes.
- Summarizing experimental results, discussing conclusions with the project team, and preparing technical reports.
- Maintaining laboratory housekeeping and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
- Guided research opportunities encouraging observation, independent deduction, and directional input.
- Training and support on laboratory work and associated safety practices.
- Interaction with diverse research teams across various scientific domains, including microbiology, analytical chemistry, and process safety.
- Development of project management skills and knowledge in product development methodology from laboratory to industrial scale.
You will bring:
- A bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related field with chemistry experience, or a master's degree in chemistry
- Experience in homecare formulations is a plus.
- A genuine interest in laboratory work (70% lab, 20% lab reports, 10% lab upkeep)
- Proactive and autonomous work ethic with an open-minded approach.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Proficiency in PC and relevant software applications, ELN is a plus
