Job Opportunity: General Labor – Material Handler | Pooler, GA
Pay Rate: $16/hour (increases to $17/hour after 90 days and direct hire)
Location: Pooler, GA
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Lunch: 30 minutes
Overtime: Some overtime may be required About the Role
We are searching for dedicated, energetic individuals for our General Labor – Material Handler position in Pooler, GA. In this physically demanding role, you'll do much more than move boxes—you'll be an integral part of a team that is truly invested in your success and the success of those around you. You must bring a great attitude every day and be a MAJOR team player! We need people who can lift each other up, not bring others down—no "Negative Nancys" here.
What You'll Do
- Constantly throw, stack, and organize heavy boxes and pallets—this job is active and physical from start to finish.
- Some days will be fast-paced with several trucks arriving, while other days will be quieter, but you'll always be busy and relied upon.
- Unload incoming shipments by hand, pallet jack, or cart
- Load outgoing shipments safely and efficiently
- Rework, relocate, and organize items weighing up to 75 pounds
- Help maintain the warehouse by sweeping, organizing aisles, and removing trash
- Prep loads for shipping alongside your team (not order picking)
- Keep the workplace clean and hazard-free for everyone's safety
- Identify and report damaged goods or safety concerns to supervisors
- Follow safety standards for lifting, moving, and stacking
- Occasionally support packing operations
- Team players with a positive attitude are an absolute must—and major team spirit is required!
- People who are physically strong and can repetitively lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds
- Reliable, consistent attendance—your team depends on you every day
- Strong communication skills and attention to safety/detail
- Ability to bend, squat, reach, and stand for up to 8 hours in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse
- Prior general labor or warehouse work preferred but not required
- Familiarity with packing/shipping processes is a plus
- Tennis shoes with covered ankles, jeans, and standard warehouse wear
