Grinder/Parts Cleaner
Join our dynamic team as a Grinder/Parts Cleaner and play a pivotal role in maintaining part quality and streamlining workflow between departments! Roles and Responsibilities
- Wear proper PPE at all times to ensure workplace safety.
- Review and follow the daily grinding list for task prioritization.
- Retrieve and manage job paperwork efficiently.
- Clean parts thoroughly using grinders, die grinders, and other hand tools.
- Accurately verify part quantities during the cleaning process.
- Inspect all holes for correct bolt fit and ensure removal of all Arco & Duracorr markings.
- Safely operate tumblers for smaller parts, preventing equipment damage.
- Label parts with customer and order information for seamless processing.
- Determine and clearly mark the correct department destination for cleaned parts.
- Safely transport parts via forklift to Fabrication, Machine Shop, or Warehouse.
- Organize completed paperwork and maintain a tidy work area.
- Proactively communicate any discrepancies or concerns with the department lead.
- Support drop yard organization and assist in keeping stacks orderly.
- Consistently follow all safety protocols and maintain awareness of your surroundings.
- Ability to read and interpret job paperwork and basic part drawings.
- Proficiency with grinders, die grinders, and hand tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accurate counting skills.
- Strong self-motivation and independence in managing tasks.
- Physical ability to lift and handle parts as needed.
- Dependable team player with a collaborative attitude.
