Your Role: A Scientific and Strategic LeaderAs Group Director of Analytical Chemistry, you'll oversee a team of scientists specializing in solid-state analytical techniques. You'll guide complex analytical projects, lead a high-performance team, and contribute directly to patent prosecution, litigation support, and product development.

Key Responsibilities-
Lead and Inspire: Manage and mentor a team of analytical chemists conducting solid-state characterization, method development/validation, and routine testing.

Drive Innovation: Spearhead projects involving cutting-edge techniques like Raman, IR, NMR, XRPD, thermal analysis, particle size analysis, and more.

Strategic Resource Management: Balance workload, staffing, and lab capacity to meet project timelines and quality standards.

Quality & Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to SOPs, regulatory requirements, and data integrity protocols.

Client-Facing Expertise: Communicate complex scientific data to internal and external stakeholders through compelling reports, white papers, and presentations.

Technical Excellence: Solve challenging analytical problems, provide expert interpretation of data, and develop strategic testing solutions.

Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement new technologies, process improvements, and efficiencies across the analytical chemistry department.

Education & Experience:
-
Ph.D. in Analytical, Organic, or Physical Chemistry preferred; MS or BS with 10+ years of relevant experience also considered.

At least 5 years of technical experience in a contract research or service laboratory, with 3+ years in a leadership/supervisory role.

Technical Expertise:

Deep knowledge of solid-state analytical chemistry and instrumentation (spectroscopy, XRPD, chromatography, thermal analysis, etc.).

Strong understanding of lab information systems, automation, and data processing.

Leadership & Communication:

Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate high-performing technical teams.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client interaction and report generation.
