$16.25 per hour
Kelly Services is hiring a Guest Services Associate to support daily operations at the world-renowned Corning Museum of Glass. As the first point of contact for museum guests, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming, informative, and enjoyable experience. This position requires excellent communication skills, a high level of professionalism, and a passion for delivering top-tier customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:-
Greet guests warmly and assist with ticket sales, memberships, and general inquiries.

Provide information on exhibitions, demonstrations, events, parking, and directions.

Answer and manage incoming phone calls to the Museum operator line.

Work across multiple Museum areas as needed, including:

Welcome Center
-
Group Tour Check-in
-
Hot Glass demonstration areas
-
Information Desks
-
The Studio
-
Rakow Research Library
-
Support Make Your Own Glass (MYOG) operations: manage reservations, cancellations, shipping, and class info.

Facilitate safe and accurate transactions; maintain records and supplies such as brochures and group kits.

Report POS (Point of Sale) system issues to the supervisor or IT department.

Assist guests during Hot Glass demonstrations (seating, directions, raffle info, etc.).

Support Museum events such as Holiday Open House, 2300°, and seminars.

Communicate daily events and updates to internal departments as needed.

Represent the Museum professionally both in person and over the phone.

Contribute to an inclusive, welcoming environment aligned with the Museum's diversity, equity, and inclusion values.
Desired Qualifications: -
Experience: Minimum 1 year working in a customer service, hospitality, or retail environment.

Skills:

Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

Dependable with a strong work ethic; consistently meets deadlines.

Comfortable using reservation or POS software; Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a high-volume guest environment.
Professionalism: Positive, courteous demeanor with all guests and colleagues.
Preferred: Knowledge of the Finger Lakes region is a plus.
Availability: Must be available for some weekends, evenings, and holidays.
