Electromechanical Technician
Location: San Jose, CA | Shift: 1st (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday–Friday)
Pay: $34 – $38 per hour (depending on experience)

About the Role:
Join Johnson & Johnson's Systems Capital team at their San Jose facility, where you will play a critical role assembling, testing, and validating complex electromechanical medical devices. Your work will directly impact lives by supporting the production of advanced surgical robotics and new product introductions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and test electromechanical assemblies using hand tools (screwdrivers, torque drivers), precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers), electronic test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes), soldering stations, and computer software.
  • Follow detailed engineering and production instructions to build, inspect, verify, and document assemblies.
  • Maintain clear, legible handwritten documentation adhering to Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Operate manufacturing equipment safely and maintain compliance with safety, quality, and environmental protocols.
  • Identify, escalate, and document nonconformances and support corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on research, development, validation, and new product introductions.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certificate or Associate's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in electromechanical assembly, manufacturing, or a related technical field.
  • Skilled in using hand tools, precision instruments, electronic testers, soldering equipment, and related software systems.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to safely lift up to 40 pounds and move heavier materials with appropriate equipment.
Preferred:
  • Experience troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems.
  • Proficiency with multiple software tools and aptitude for learning new systems quickly.
