Description

Kelly Services is currently seeking a Housing Quality Standards Inspector for one of our premier clients. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting inspections of housing units participating in the Section 8 Program to ensure compliance with HUD's Housing Quality Standards (HQS). You will act as a liaison between the client, residents, and landlords, providing recommendations for necessary repairs and assisting with rehabilitation requests. The ideal candidate will have experience in the building trades and/or inspection field and possess strong attention to detail. This is a day shift position and pay rate is $17 per hour. Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor a system for scheduling inspections of units participating in the Section 8 Program.
- Conduct inspections of housing units to ensure compliance with HQS.
- Provide reports and recommendations for rehabilitation needs of units.
- Inform landlords of necessary repairs and work closely with them on corrective procedures.
- Prepare detailed documentation of inspection findings.
- Assist the Administrator with information, guidance, and assistance regarding inspections.
- Maintain landlord liability insurance files and ensure compliance.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.

Qualifications and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in the building trades and/or inspection field preferred.
- Ability to obtain HQS certification within 18 months of employment (training expenses will be covered by the company).
- Possession of a valid Texas driver's license.
