Human Resources (HR) Generalist / Administrator

Location: Glastonbury, CT 06033
Compensation: $28/hr
Schedule: Full-Time | Hybrid Work Environment

About the Role:

The Human Resources Administrator is a key member of a growing HR team, responsible for delivering a wide range of HR support services to both internal staff and client organizations. This role involves benefits administration, onboarding and offboarding, training coordination, and HR compliance activities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administer employee benefits, including 401(k), health insurance, and leave programs (LOA/FMLA).

  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including background checks, pre-hire paperwork, I-9 verification, and COBRA communication.

  • Conduct HR compliance audits and support remediation activities.

  • Maintain HRIS systems and personnel files; perform data entry, audits, and reconciliations.

  • Support HR projects such as system implementations, policy updates, performance management, and salary reviews.

  • Track training efforts and coordinate employee development initiatives.

  • Prepare and analyze HR reports and metrics for internal and client stakeholders.

  • Respond promptly to employee and client inquiries related to benefits, policies, and HR processes.

Qualifications:
  • 3–5 years of HR experience, with a focus on benefits administration.

  • Strong knowledge of HR regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Experience with onboarding, pre-hire documentation, and HRIS systems (iSolved preferred).

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and exceptional accuracy.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Maintains professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.
