Human Resources Director

Salary $120k-$140k range
The Human Resources Director is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the HR department. This role ensures the seamless execution of HR functions, including payroll administration, benefits management, talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and culture-building initiatives. The HR Director will play a key role in fostering a positive workplace environment that attracts, retains, and develops top talent while aligning HR strategies with business goals.
Responsibilities
Leadership & HR Operations
- Oversee payroll, benefits, and 401(k) administration, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency.
- Lead and support the HR team, driving initiatives that enhance employee engagement and retention.
- Manage payroll processing and coordinate with the Controller to ensure 99% accuracy and on-time delivery.
- Ensure seamless benefits enrollment for new hires and qualifying events, maintaining 100% accuracy in updates.
- Oversee 401(k) contributions, loan payments, and compliance, ensuring employees receive full support.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures, including maintaining an up-to-date employee handbook.
- Collaborate with the VP of HR on budget management and vendor negotiations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including Vets 4212, EEO-1, and AAP.
- Maintain accurate tracking and documentation of workplace incidents and safety compliance.
- Promote workplace safety initiatives and collaborate with teams to enhance safety protocols.
- Oversee end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes, ensuring a seamless candidate and new hire experience.
- Partner with the VP of HR on organizational development initiatives and workforce planning.
- Act as a strategic advisor on employee relations, resolving workplace issues with a focus on engagement and morale.
- Manage the Total Rewards Program, ensuring competitive compensation, benefits, and career development opportunities.
- Lead employee recognition programs to drive a culture of appreciation and motivation.
- Oversee performance management processes, including goal-setting and annual reviews.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Master degree a plus
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- SHRM-SCP or SPHR certification highly desirable.
- Strong expertise in payroll, benefits, compensation, compliance, and talent acquisition.
- In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
- Proven ability to manage complex HR initiatives, lead teams, and drive strategic HR objectives.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems (Ceridian Dayforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
