Description

Industrial Assembly Worker
Location: Commerce, GA
Pay: $18.25 per hour
Shift:

  • 1st Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Overtime: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM (Monday–Friday)
  • Sat Overtime: 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM (as required)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Plan assembly procedures and position parts per blueprints/specs
  • Clean parts and adjust to ensure proper fit
  • Fasten parts using bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, etc.
  • Install and test moving/mechanical parts for function
  • Install piping and wiring as needed
  • Align/mesh valve controls to assembly
  • Test completed units for performance; pack and label products
  • Follow all safety, lifting, and hazard procedures; wear required PPE (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes)
  • Participate in forklift and safety training
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6+ months related experience/training
  • Experience using handtools
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate simple instructions and information
  • Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, use of fractions/decimals, calculating rates and percentages, read graphs)
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to follow both written and diagram instructions
Physical Requirements
  • Regularly stand; frequent walking, sitting, talking, hearing
  • Ability to frequently lift/move up to 10 lbs; occasionally up to 35–50 lbs
  • Good vision (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception)
  • Work involves occasional exposure to mechanical parts, vibration, and moderate noise
