Industrial HVAC Technician
Location: Skokie, IL
Pay Rate: $29/hr - $34/hr
Hours: 1st Shift - 6am-2pm Monday-Friday
Job Type: Direct Hire (permanent)

We're seeking an Industrial HVAC Technician to join the team at one of our favorite clients at their premier facility here in Skokie, IL. This role is a direct hire placement, meaning you will interview and be hired in by our client directly. Our client specializes in confectionary products manufacturing, and you will be conducting facilities maintenance on equipment and HVAC systems. Why You Should Apply:

What's a Typical Day:
  • Reporting food safety and quality issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting, and replacing HVAC and refrigeration systems, boilers, and air compressors.
  • Conducting daily boiler water treatment tests and checks on process/building HVAC equipment.
  • Performing routine preventative and corrective maintenance.
  • Communicating equipment breakdowns to supervisors/managers and maintaining the cleanliness of the work area.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED and five or more years of experience with complex HVAC equipment is a must.
  • Possess an EPA license for refrigerant systems and can read electrical schematics.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends and engage in physical activities like bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Good communication skills and basic knowledge of HVAC systems.
  • Ability to set up and operate shop equipment.
