Instructional Designer

Contract Duration:  3-month project

Contract Type:   W2 through staffing supplier

Location:   Remote USA

Pay Rate:   $28 - $32/hr

 

We're seeking a skilled Instructional Designer to join our Learning Experience Design team on a 3-month contract. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and developing engaging, effective learning solutions that align with business goals and enhance the learner experience. You'll also serve as a facilitator for live virtual New Hire Orientation sessions over Zoom, so strong presentation and communication skills are essential. 

 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Design, develop, and implement eLearning courses and blended learning programs using Articulate 360 (Storyline & Rise). 
  • Facilitate engaging, interactive New Hire Orientation sessions via Zoom on a regular basis. 
  • Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to gather content, define learning objectives, and determine instructional strategies. 
  • Upload and manage learning content in the Cornerstone LMS, ensuring accessibility, tracking, and reporting functionality. 
  • Apply principles of adult learning theory, instructional design, and UX/UI best practices to learning materials. 
  • Revise and iterate on content based on feedback and data insights. 
  • Ensure all learning materials are consistent with brand guidelines and quality standards. 

 

Requirements: 

  • Proven experience as an instructional designer or similar role. 
  • Proficiency in Articulate 360 (Storyline and Rise). 
  • Hands-on experience with Cornerstone LMS. 
  • Experience facilitating live training sessions or presentations in a virtual environment. 
  • Strong understanding of instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM). 
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Background in corporate training, adult education, or learning & development. 
  • Experience designing for both technical and non-technical audiences. 
  • Familiarity with SCORM, xAPI, and other eLearning standards.
