Description

Position: Inventory Specialist  

Function: Supply Chain 
Location: Fairburn, GA 

Work Schedule: 4:00 p.m. –1 2:30 a.m., Monday–Friday 
Pay: 19.25 

 
As an Inventory Specialist, you ensure inventory accuracy and efficiency across the facility. Responsibilities include cycle counting, auditing, resolving discrepancies, and maintaining compliance with quality standards. You'll collaborate with departments, train staff, and drive continuous improvement to meet client demands and support a high-performing supply chain operation. 
 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform daily cycle counts and maintain compliance with corporate accounting objectives. 

  • Investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies, including shortages and overages. 

  • Audit processes and identify inconsistencies affecting inventory accuracy. 

  • Organize inventory areas and maintain efficient material handling practices. 

  • Maintain cycle count records and provide related reports to management. 

  • Coordinate quarterly inventories and update inventory targets based on corporate policies. 

  • Partner with clerical teams to research discrepancies and authorize adjustments. 

  • Handle damaged and defective products appropriately and report issues for resolution. 

  • Operate equipment and maintain accurate product identification and location within the facility.

Education & Experience: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred (Business/Supply Chain Management). 

  • 1–3 years of shipping/receiving office clerk experience. 

  • 1–3 years of inventory experience preferred. 

  • Operational experience and knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP, J.D. Edwards) preferred. 

 
 

Physical Demands: 

  • Regular use of hands for computer and phone. 

  • Frequent walking, sitting, occasional standing. 

  • Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs.
