Japanese Translator
Pay Rate: $30/hour
Location: Princeton, IN
Contract Type: 1 Year
Schedule: Monday through Friday, some Weekends

Salary/Pay Rate/Compensation: $30/hr + depending on experience 

What's a typical day as a Japanese Translator? 
 

  • Utilize expert and fluent knowledge of Japanese and English to provide clear oral and written communications across cultures for Japanese staff-related functions and business travelers from Japan.
  • Reproducing statements in another language for unique listening or reading audience
    Facilitating effective communication between two parties that do not speak a similar language.
  • Attending conferences and meetings and acting as official translator to mediate discussion
  • Relaying concepts and ideas between languages.
  • Reporting to the Language Services Manager

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

 
  • Ability to clearly communicate and relay ideas across Japanese and US cultures in verbal and written capacities.
  • Fluency in Japanese and English language, both oral and written communication.
  • Technology proficiency in digital communication; email, chat, text/messaging.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask required.
  • Ability to work independently required.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and editing PDF files.

Requirements
 
  • A Valid Driver's License, or alternate means of facilitating local travel.
  • Standing for extended periods or remaining in a stationary position at workstation.
  • Presentation of professional demeanor.
  • Ability to use computers and various systems, for data entry and processing information.
  • Fluency in Japanese and English languages.
