Kelly, in partnership with a rapidly growing manufacturer, is looking for a Journeyman Electrician in Rumford, RI!

This is a permanent opportunity, meaning you will be hired directly with our client and offered their benefit and vacation package the first of the month following your hire date!

Details:
  • Pay: $38 - $46 per hour
  • Schedule: 8:00 am to 5:00 am Monday through Friday
Description:
  • Repairs, installs, replaces and tests electrical circuits, equipment and appliances using necessary hand tools and testing instruments.
  • As required, estimate materials needed and record time and materials expended on each work order.
  • Install new and additional electrical work, remodeling, etc.
  • Perform maintenance and repair of motors, relays, magnetic starters, transformers, etc.
  • Install electrical conduit for installation of new equipment and wiring.
  • Be capable of installing and interconnecting transformers and repairing, maintaining, altering or installing wiring, cabling, and electrical equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical systems.
  • Examines and tests elements of electrical systems to locate obvious faults, such as blown fuses, short circuits, broken wires, loose connections, and worn motor brushes.
  • Replaces faulty switches, sockets, plugs, fuses, insulators, and other simple elements of electrical systems, fixtures and appliances.
  • Renews circuits either by isolating and cutting out defective wiring and replacing it with new wiring or by splicing ends of broken wires.
  • Replaces defective equipment parts such as gears, bushings and bearings and other related electrical parts.
  • Inspects and tests electrical lighting, signal, communication, fire alarm, and power circuits and equipment.
  • Isolates defects in wiring, switches, motors and other electrical equipment, using suitable testing instruments.

Requirements:
  • Journeyman Electrician Licenses plus at least five years of on the job experience.
  • Ideal experience in a manufacturing plant
  • Proficient in High Voltage (480/277V), (208/110V) and Low Voltage (24V) Systems and Control Cabinets.
  • Knowledge of Injection Molding Machines and Auxiliary Equipment – Dryers, Conveyers, Temperature Controllers, Granulators, and Blenders is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Facility Infrastructure – Air Compressors, Air Dryers, Chilled Water Systems is preferred.
  • Ability to Troubleshoot PLC Controllers, VFD Drives, Servo Motors, and Heating Components.
  • Ability to Inspect electrical components, such as Safety Lighting, Exit Signs, Transformers, Circuit Breakers and on various types of manufacturing machinery per NFPA 70, National Electrical Code (NEC)
