Key Account Manager

Salary: $150,000- $170,000 per year

Position Overview:
We are partnering with a leading food packaging company to recruit a highly motivated and experienced Key Account Manager to drive strategic growth and client satisfaction across its most critical accounts. In this high-impact role, you will oversee and grow relationships with major food industry clients, serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact.

This position is ideal for an individual with proven success in account management within the food or food packaging industry. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure tailored solutions, exceptional service delivery, and sustainable growth. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with high-value food industry clients.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services.
  • Ensure client satisfaction through proactive communication, solution delivery, and issue resolution.
  • Conduct regular business reviews, performance evaluations, and account planning sessions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—sales, operations, logistics, and production—to ensure client needs are met efficiently.
  • Analyze market trends and customer data to develop strategic account plans.
  • Represent the company at client meetings, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Prepare and present compelling proposals and insights to key stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of key account management experience in the food or food packaging industry—this is required.
  • Strong understanding of the food supply chain, packaging processes, and client requirements.
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-million-dollar accounts with a focus on growth and retention.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
