Laboratory Operations Associate

Our Client is an industry-leading organization focused on advancing molecular diagnostics and genomics. In this role, you will support high-throughput laboratory operations, ensuring accurate sample handling and preparation for genotyping assays. Responsibilities
Sample Handling & Laboratory Operations
- Receive, accession, label, and track biological samples
- Physically move, organize, and manage tubes and plates of samples between workstations and instruments
- Perform DNA extraction, quantification, and preparation for genotyping assays
- Prepare reagents, buffers, and consumables as required
- Operate laboratory equipment such as PCR machines, centrifuges, pipettes, and automated extraction systems
- Perform routine quality control (QC) checks on samples, reagents, and assay results
- Document all work accurately in laboratory logs and electronic tracking systems
- Identify and escalate QC failures, deviations, or equipment issues
- Maintain compliance with laboratory safety, cleanliness, and organizational standards
- Work closely with laboratory scientists, managers, and operations staff
- Support high-throughput sample processing to meet turnaround time goals
- Assist with continuous improvement of laboratory workflows and processes
Required
- Prior laboratory experience, preferably in clinical diagnostics, molecular diagnostics, or genomics
- Hands-on experience handling and processing biological samples
- Demonstrated ability to follow SOPs and quality systems
- Strong attention to detail and reliability in repetitive, high-volume tasks
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing manual laboratory work
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Animal Science, or related field
- Experience in a regulated or QC-driven lab environment (clinical, diagnostic, or production labs)
- Familiarity with high-throughput laboratory operations and sample tracking systems
