Laboratory Technician
Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking a Laboratory Technician for a temp-to-hire position at a premier biotech company in Van Nuys, CA. Pay Rate:
$21-28/hour
Overview:
In this role, you'll support lab operations by preparing and running clinical samples on automated analyzers, managing data and documentation, troubleshooting instrument issues, and working collaboratively to ensure projects are completed accurately and efficiently.
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, Standard Working Hours
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and organize laboratory materials, reagents, and clinical samples for testing.
- Run and maintain a variety of laboratory instruments, especially Roche analyzers, and learn new technologies as needed.
- Support documentation by accurately recording testing activities, procedures, and results.
- Assist with the development and refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor, track, and manage supplies to ensure consistent lab operations and contribute to supply chain improvements.
- Troubleshoot instrument or process issues, coordinating repairs or escalating problems to supervisors.
- Collaborate with team members and leadership to ensure high-quality, reliable data and to maintain a supportive lab environment.
- Adapt to changing study requirements, demonstrating flexibility and an eagerness to develop new skills
- Engage in broader lab tasks, including SOP adherence, supply management, and continuous process improvement.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving ability, and readiness to contribute proactively within a small company setting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Science or related field.
- 2+ years of professional experience with Roche analyzers (including troubleshooting).
