Lathe Manual Machinist – 3rd Shift

Pay: $20.00 – $30.00/hour (based on experience)
Schedule: 3rd Shift, Mon–Fri 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM
(Permanent position with full benefits)

Operate and maintain large, medium, and small lathes, mills, drills, vertical lathes, and other machine shop equipment
-
Perform precision machining for new manufacturing and repair of paper machine rolls
-
Provide close tolerance work that meets company quality standards
-
Work safely, efficiently, and collaboratively in a team environment
-
Set up machines and handle machining practices on large equipment
-
Lift and move heavy loads with overhead cranes
-
Be dependable with strong attendance and willingness to work overtime if required
-
Stay adaptable and open to learning new tasks or processes as needed
-
High school diploma preferred (experience may offset this requirement)

Experience as a machinist, preferably in paper mill roll repair or similar heavy industrial equipment

Strong background in machining setups and tooling for large-scale equipment

Ability to read, interpret, and follow quality and safety standards

Trainees may be considered if they demonstrate the right skills, attitude, and willingness to learn
