Job title: Machine Operator
Location: Granville, OH 43023
Shift: Monday to Friday 7am-3pm
Pay rate: $25ph
Contract: 1 year
The contract technician position actively participates on teams that deliver technical solutions that impact Enterprise Research and Development. This role contributes to the business's success by operating and improving the SIS pilot line for future production. The work done on the line will increase productivity and quality through innovation and testing for different SIS applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Demonstrates a commitment to safety
· Works safely in the laboratory and manufacturing environments
· Identifies and corrects hazards
· Ensures rigorous compliance with standard safety procedures and OC corporate policies
· Practices good housekeeping habits
2. Running SIS pilot line
· Preps line for start-up
· Runs and identifies potential improvements that can be made
· Runs a forklift
· Cleans and maintains equipment
· Tests samples as needed
3. Metrics
· Actively contributes to Near Miss tracking system and documents hazard eliminations
· Full participation in site safety initiatives
· Performs non-routine task hazard assessments
· Safely and consistently completes operational tasks for the SIS pilot line
· Tests deliverables, meets Quality Requirements and Standards
REQUIREMENTS
· Associate degree or equivalent (High School with experience accepted)
· Hands-on aptitude with mechanical equipment
· Hands on experience with power tools
· Must be comfortable using a computer. A working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
· 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing and/or laboratory environment.
· Attention to detail is very important.
