Pay Range: $19.50 – $22.00 per hour

Regular Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Summer Hours:
• Monday – Thursday: 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM
• Friday: 6:30 AM – 12:30 PM
We are seeking a detail-oriented Machine Set-Up / Operator to set up and operate milling and turret lathe machines. The ideal candidate will be capable of producing high-quality parts to print specifications while maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Essential Responsibilities:-
Set up and operate Bridgeport millers and/or turret lathes according to blueprints

Perform tool offsets, select appropriate feeds and speeds, and make necessary adjustments to meet print tolerances

Select correct materials as indicated on shop orders

Inspect parts using dial calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, comparators, and similar tools
-
Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure conformance to specifications
-
Maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) data for each part
-
Move parts to the next operation according to routing instructions
-
Assist less experienced operators with setups as needed

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Perform additional duties as assigned

Assist in the upkeep of the work area

Perform tasks such as riveting, collar assembly, sleeving, and soldering

Operate CNC equipment as needed

High school diploma or vocational training preferred
-
Basic knowledge of shop math, blueprint reading, and inspection tools
-
1 to 3 years of hands-on experience with milling and/or lathe machines
-
Ability to sit, stand, bend, and lift up to 60 lbs. regularly
-
Combination of manufacturing floor and office setting
-
Regular exposure to noise, dust, temperature changes, and odors
